A Health Instructor Inspires His Students To Learn More About Alcoholic Symptoms, Symptoms Of Alcoholism, And Signs Of Alcoholism
Mr. Johnson was one of the health instructors at a medium size rural high school in the Southern part of the U.S. For "Alcohol Awareness Month" he determined that he would give his attention to the following three topics for a class assignment: the symptoms of alcoholism, alcoholic symptoms, and the signs of alcoholism.
After Mr. Johnson completed the topics that would be given to his pupils, he made up his mind that he would present their assignment the following Monday morning. When "assignment day" eventually came, Mr. Johnson met with his pupils, dispersed some applicable facts and statistics, and then notified his students about the topics he selected.
He then gave his class a general idea of some relevant signs of alcoholism and stressed how vital it is to become skilled at figuring out how to link these facts, symptoms, and statistics with the real-life situations of alcoholics. He then gave the pupils in his classroom a short and to the point explanation about the significance of learning more about alcohol dependent individuals and how they live on an everyday basis.
Mr. Johnson told his class that they could isolate on one of the three topics or investigate all three topics and how they are interlinked. Essentially this would be comparable to a basic overview but done in a more far-reaching manner.
Another option that he presented to his class was the following: take a topic such as alcohol addiction signs and symptoms, dig into things more thoroughly, and then go over two or three symptoms and signs. Mr. Johnson then mentioned that the same logic applies to the other two topics, specifically, alcoholic symptoms and the symptoms of alcoholism.
The end result of their study would be a eight thousand word research paper and then a ten minute oral presentation that would be given in front of the class. As recognition for their outstanding intellectual attainment, the students with the top four overall grades on the research paper and on the oral presentation will be asked to present the results of their research at the regional drug and alcohol dependency convention during the last two days of April.
As articulated by Mr. Johnson, since there are more than a few alcoholism symptoms and signs to choose from, he remarked that he was not exceedingly anxious about two or more students picking the same symptoms and signs for their class assignment. Indeed, even if multiple students were to decide upon the same signs and symptoms, the illustrations that are linked to each sign or symptom would definitely add enough diversity to steer clear of two or more pupils presenting the same content.
Mr. Johnson then mentioned that while there are numerous alcohol addiction symptoms and signs that could be chosen, the magnitude of alcohol dependency facts and statistics that could be listed were almost limitless. When the topic of alcoholic symptoms was added to the conversation, furthermore, the students in the classroom understood quite rapidly that the three topics would offer an immense amount of material from which to choose.
Why did Mr. Johnson select alcoholic symptoms, the symptoms of alcoholism, and the signs of alcoholism as the topics for this research project? Mr. Johnson thought that by elevating the understanding of his students about the damaging effects of alcohol dependency and the dismal lifestyles experienced by alcohol addicted individuals, his pupils might think more cautiously before they got caught up in abusive and unhealthy drinking behavior.
