Broadband By Satellite Dish Is A Wonderful Option
Satellite WiFi just like you would have with a telephone line connection but you use the satellite broadband connection. It works exactly like an ADSL modem and has almost similar internal parts. You can, actually, attach your old ADSL network modem to the satellite broadband dish equipment and simply deactivate the ADSL portion in the modem/router. So if you are having land line ADSL problems don't discard that old router modem.
If you are going to use your old router then you will definitely want to switch off the ADSL chip but frankly you are not forced to do that. If the old router is connected to a network feed then it will take the network settings from that feed via the RJ45 cable connection.
The only real problem you may face is two DHCP servers being associated on your network. A DHCP server exists to issue unique network addresses to each user of the network. It is like having a network 'know by' identity being given out to each device connected on your network. If you have 2 of DHCP devices, on the same network, then you have two servers providing competing identities and it simply does not work. You must only have one DHCP server on a network and the existing ADSL modem DHCP feature needs to be switched off.
If you don't fancy messing about and configuring your old ADSL modem then have a look at purpose built devices. These plain devices connect to any network to turn it into a WiFi network. They are called 'cable modems', or more properly a 'Wireless Access Point'. The advantage is their simplicity when linking to your network RJ45 socket. Having satellite broadband with WiFi capabilities is an easy to do.
Use a home plug network?
If you like to keep away from using WiFi then you may use a home plug network. This type of network sends high frequency signals through the electrical ring circuit of your home or office. The range is limited, just as WiFi. Just like WiFi, security protocols exist to secure the mains network from your neighbours using the network.

Get your satellite internet connection before an electrical storms come. The electrical interference caused by storms will be picked up by your overhead telephone wires. A local electrical storm produces spikes of electricity coming down your telephone cables and a big spike will damage the circuits of your ADSL. You just don't get this issue with satellite dishes because their antenna length is too small to pick up electrical discharges. You may not think that electrical storms effect you but national power lines carry the surges across borders and even between nations.
