The theory and speculation does hold some evidence against chemical compounds in health and beauty-related products; and it does point to the sun's "destructive rays" as a possible cause, and so on., but here, since we aren't medical professionals, professional, or experts, the factual information on the versions of skin melanoma is going to be basic and absent of finger-pointing, if you will:
There are three kinds of skin cancer: Basal Cell Carcinoma (AKA non-melanoma skin cancer); Squamous Cell Carcinoma; and Melanoma.
Cancer (also, Cutaneous Melanoma, Malignant Melanoma) - Cancer cells are developing in the melanocytes, the cells that are responsible for skin pigmentation. According to University of Maryland medicine and other experts, of all the versions of skin cancer, Melanoma is "the most virulent and the rarest."
